Corey D. Boddie, Esq.

Corey D. Boddie is an attorney and founding partner of the law firm Boddie & Associates, P.C. with office in New York City, Los Angeles and Atlanta. He represents individuals and entities in the entertainment industry through legal representation and litigation. The law firm also represents individuals and business in regards to U.S. immigration and finance matters.

Career

The highlights of his legal career include his 2001 appointment to the General Counsel for the Manhattan Short Film Festival-considered to be one of the largest short film festivals in the world.

In 2003, Corey was profiled on “Celebrity Justice” and “Entertainment Tonight” with regards to a highly publicized multimillion-dollar copyright/trademark infringement case against the “Osbourne Family” and Sony Music Entertainment.

In 2006, he was apart of the legal team regarding copyright infringement against Beyonce Knowles.

In 2007, he was represented Ginuwine in a multimillion dollar breach of contract case profiled by AP. In 2010 and 2011, Corey also appeared on the hit reality TV Show “Basketball Wives”.

His client roster includes: Wynton Marsalis, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Claudia Jordan of “Real Housewives of Atlanta”, “Treach” of Naughty by Nature, The country of Jamaica and France, Mobb Deep, as well as countless musical artists, producers, record labels and many in the Film and Television industries.

Corey is frequent speaker at media and entertainment industry events, including the Florida Music Festival & Conference (2006-2008); Texas Summer Music Conference (2005, 2006); Winter Music Conference (2008, 2009, 2013), Producers Conference (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007), Hedge Fund World Asia Managers Showcase in Singapore (2008, 2010) and is an avid speaker for the Practising Law Institute (PLI).

Hyo Keun Jean, Esq

Hyo Keun Jean obtained his LL.M from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1989. Prior to this, he received both a bachelor’s degree, in 1979, and master’s degree, in 1988, in Law from the University of Han Yang in Seoul, Korea.

Career

Since being admitted to the Korea Bar in 1984, Mr. Jean has gained extensive experience in the legal field, particularly in the areas of environmental, commercial, copyright, patent, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

He started off working as an associate at several law offices in Korea, including those of S.C. Kim, Lee International Patent Firm, as well as You Me Patent and Law, before becoming a managing partner at Chung Hyun P.C. Aside from his positions in the legal field, Mr. Jean also has experience in the academic setting working as an adjoining professor in Civil Procedure at Kyunghee University, and a lecturer in Intellectual Property at the University of Seoul.

Currently, Mr. Jean is working for Boddie & Associates P.C. specializing in copyright and trademark law.

His decades of experience in practicing law, as well as his capacity for understanding and maneuvering international, as well as U.S., legal systems has made him an invaluable resource to the firm.

He has brought his talents and knowledge to the practice, utilizing his diverse professional background to offer each client a comprehensive and tailored approach.

Cristina Pana, Esq.

Cristina Pana obtained her bachelor’s degree with honors in Philosophy from St. Francis College and went on to complete her law degree from California Western School of Law in 2010, cum laude. While in law school, she served as an Associate Writer for the California Western Law Review/International Law Journal. Ms. Pana’s commitment was awarded with such honors as the American Jurisprudence Award for highest grade in Entertainment Law, Trademark Law, Human Rights Law and Legal Writing & Research.

Career

Prior to joining Boddie & Associates, P.C. she worked for the Screen Actors Guild in Los Angeles, California where she focused on intellectual property matters, researching, drafting memoranda and assisting in major motion picture arbitration demands.

Ms. Pana also worked as a law clerk for Boddie & Associates, P.C. during law school and gained valuable experience in both entertainment and immigration law.

Ms. Pana is admitted to the California and New York State Bar. She is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and San Diego County Bar Association.

Career

Mr. Ware provides advice on trademark use and classification, contract dispute advice, and the negotiation and drafting of license agreements.

Mr. Ware is also available to advise artists and inventors in the planning, protecting and leveraging of their creative works, business concepts and inventions.

Mr. Ware practices in intellectual property law including trademark litigation, patent litigation and prosecution, copyright advice, licensing work and opinion work for clients ranging from individual artists and inventors to Fortune 500 corporations.

In his practice, Mr. Ware specialized in the protection and development of clients’ brands, multimedia, marketing strategies and intellectual property rights.
